We have learnt recently of the sad death of Trevor Thomas, who led SOA as Honorary National Secretary from 2009 to 2013. 

Trevor joined the SOA in 1991 and over the following 30+ years owned four Shrimper 19s and a Shrimper 21, as well as a number of the larger boats in the Cornish Crabbers range.  He was always an enthusiastic supporter of SOA events, attending many Shrimper Weeks, both at home and abroad, whilst helping to organise two – Plymouth 2008 and Solent 2013.  During his time as National Hon Sec Trevor oversaw a rebuild of the SOA website into its current format and was also Honorary Secretary for the Chichester and Solent Area.

Our thoughts are with his family and close friends at this difficult time.
